MIQUEL JORDÀ, viola

Miquel is a musician who likes to listen the music with his inner ear. He builds up images and create stories with a vivid interpretation.

Next season he will be on stage together with violinist Maxim Vengerov playing the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante.

In 2010 he founds the Quartet Gerhard and pursuit his studies with prof. Rainer Schmidt (Basel), prof. Eberhard Feltz (Berlin) and prof. Günter Pichler (Madrid). He has received musical advice from Márta and György Kurtág, Sir András Schiff and Tabea Zimmermann.

He has played at international halls such as Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Auditorio Nacional Madrid and at the String Quartet Biennales in Amsterdam and Barcelona.

His recordings with Harmonia Mundi, Seed Music and Klarthe enjoy great success from the public and critics.

He plays a viola by Paul Kaul, Paris 1929, and a bow by Dominique Poirson.

TRIO FORTUNY

Trio Fortuny is born from the friendship between three musicians with intense activity all over Europe, either leading orchestras, performing as soloists or doing chamber music and other unique projects. Their individual experiences fuel each encounter and enrich the work of all their programs. Formed by violinist Joel Bardolet, cellist Pau Codina and pianist Marc Heredia, Trio Fortuny has consolidated its proposal by performing on the main European stages and recording two albums in digital video format with works by Schubert and Brahms; and Beethoven, Shostakovich and Mendelssohn.

The dialogue between these three musicians exudes influences from Ferenc Rados, Rainer Schmidt, Claudio Martínez, Gary Hoffman, Anton Kernjak and Jonathan Brown, among others. They have performed at different festivals such as the Wissembourg International Music Festival, Portaferrada, Temporada Ibercamera Girona, the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical, L 'Auditori de Barcelona, Bachcelona and the Palau de la Música Catalana - where they will deploy their artistic residency for three seasons from 2023-2024.

The Quartet Gerhard is known by their pursuit of beauty and sensibility in their performances. The leading young Spanish string quartet creates dialogues between tradition and modernity, bringing the audience into an intimate atmosphere where all forms of expression are explored.

THE REST PROJECT

The Rest Project, formed by Maria Florea, Lara Fernández and Daniel Claret, is an ensemble that talks about their concerns, mainly through music, but also using other elements such as text and movement. It is characterized by the shared creation of its concerts and by the limitless exploration in order to express what wants to be expressed.

The integration of the various disciplines by the three musicians gives the performers a different way of being on stage. The transmission of the artistic thought takes place through multiple channels, and the experience is lived as a whole unified journey. This integration, in addition, is transferred to the physical plane, and provides the group with a great adaptability to the spaces where it performs. Keeping its essence, for them, any house can be home.
